Meditation is an action of our mind and is the main cause of inner peace. When we meditate we are creating the cause of happiness and so happiness will definitely arise, because without a cause there can be no result. Through deepening our knowledge and experience of the stages of the path to enlightenment we can not only calm our busy mind, but effect positive inner change, and even create a deep transformation of our mind and heart.

Current Book: New Heart of Wisdom

This text reveals the profound meaning of the very heart of Buddha’s teachings - the Perfection of Wisdom Sutras. Geshe Kelsang shows how all our problems and suffering come from our ignorance of the ultimate nature of things, and how we can abandon this ignorance and come to enjoy pure, lasting happiness by developing a special wisdom associated with compassion for all living beings.

The purpose of the Teacher Training Program is to provide an extensive presentation of particular subjects of Mahayana Buddhism to enable practitioners to deepen their knowledge and experience of Buddhism, and to train as qualified New Kadampa Tradition teachers.

The program is comprised of twelve subjects, based on Buddha’s Sutra and Tantra teachings and corresponding commentaries by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.

This is not a drop-in class. Enrollment is required and you must attend both evening classes.

Current Book: Great Treasury of Merit

This book explains the practice of Guru Yoga, or how to correctly rely upon a Spiritual Guide, according to Highest Yoga Tantra in conjunction with the sadhana Offering to the Spiritual Guide. Through this practice, we will receive profound blessings, and swiftly make progress along the path to enlightenment.
