Kadampa Buddhism is a special presentation of Buddha’s teachings that makes the path to enlightenment accessible to people of the modern world and explains clearly how to transform our lives into the spiritual path.
As an extension of the Southwest Dharma celebration this special class will present some essential teachings on the practice Heart Jewel which is the daily meditation practice done by Kadampa Buddhists worldwide. Through this practice we can purify our mind of negativity, accumulate good fortune, and receive blessings of Buddha. We can also receive protection from Buddha which will help us strengthen our spiritual practice. In this way, we will naturally and easily gain realizations of the path to enlightenment and develop special wisdom.
This class will introduce the meditations contained within the practice and explain how to do them.
