If our body accumulates toxic chemicals or other unhealthy things it affects our physical health and wellbeing. The same is true of the mind. There are many harmful states of mind that cause pain and problems for both ourself and others. In this mini-retreat we will learn to identify these inner poison, such as anger, and use meditation and Buddhist thinking to free ourself from them. Join us to purify your mind and find real balance and peace.
What to Expect:
Learn basic meditation skills, through instruction and guided practice
Learn how to become more aware of your thinking and where it’s leading you
Practical advice on how to develop and hold a positive attitude and peace of mind
Each session will include: Brief guided meditations, a talk on Buddhism for everyday living, time for questions and meeting like-minded people.

Jenny Streit-Horn is the principal teacher at our Denton Branch Center and has been studying and practicing Buddhism for over 20 years. She has been a Kadampa Buddhist practitioner for 10 years and finds Geshe Kelsang Gyatso's books and teachings to be remarkably clear and practical. Jenny brings a warm and caring heart to teaching meditation and Buddhism and is studying on Teacher Training Program at KMC Texas.
