Faith can be a powerful force and lead to experiences of great meaning in life. But is faith simply belief? How do we make sense of the difficult things that happen in life? What is the intersection between faith and logic? Buddha teaches that we should use reasoning, logic, and personal experience to develop our wisdom and faith. In this way we can develop great inner strength, bringing benefit to ourselves and others. Our Resident Teacher Gen Menla will give a talk exploring these meaningful questions.
Gen Kelsang Menla was ordained as a Kadampa Buddhist monk in 2001 and has taught Kadampa Buddhism since that time. Gen Menla has also completed temple renovation projects in Baltimore, Albuquerque and our own temple here in Dallas. He brings a warm heart and joyful attitude to sharing Buddha’s teachings and the practice of meditation.
