The Yoga of Happiness: Exchanging Self with Others Day Retreat

  • Kadampa Meditation Center Texas 1875 Laws Street Dallas, TX, 75202 United States (map)

By training our mind to be more aware of the happiness and well being of others, and meditating on this precious mind, we have the ability to change the way we see and interact with others in our daily life and in our world.  When we cherish others, we become more aware of the happiness and well being of others.  We will solve all of our problems and experience deep inner peace.

The path to enlightenment is really very simple. All we need to do is stop cherishing ourself and learn to cherish others. All other spiritual realizations will naturally follow from this.
— Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, The New Eight Steps to Happiness

Gen Menla will give teachings and guide meditations on the practice of Exchanging Self with Others.  This yoga is one of the most important and practical of all Buddha’s teachings.

Gen Kelsang Menla was ordained as a Kadampa Buddhist monk in 2001 and has taught Kadampa Buddhism since that time. Gen Menla has also completed temple renovation projects in Baltimore, Albuquerque and our own temple here in Dallas. He brings a warm heart and joyful attitude to sharing Buddha’s teachings and the practice of meditation.
