Mantra & Mala Making Workshop

Join us for an inspiring introduction to the practice of mantra. We’ll explain how to use mantra recitation to improve our peace of mind, compassion and wisdom. Mantra is something we can practice at any time, which brings us many powerful short and long term benefits. It connects us with the good qualities of the enlightened mind and helps us to realize our highest potential.

Afterward, you will learn the traditional art of making and using a mala. A mala is a string of beads used to count prayers or mantra recitations. For Buddhist practitioners, their mala is a very precious and meaningful object.

In this hands-on workshop you’ll have the opportunity to make a mala for yourself. You can also bring malas to repair.

Join us for a Potluck Party too!

After the workshop, join us for a potluck community party and free talk where Gen Menla will teach on the history and development of Modern Kadampa Buddhism. Bring a dish to share if you want to stay after the mala workshop!

Join us for our Community Potluck Party after the workshop. Click here for more info!
