Stop Worrying, Start Living
A Free Public Talk with Gen Kelsang Menla
Enjoy a day out in Downtown Fort Worth!
Enjoy a free talk and meditation with American Buddhist Monk Gen Kelsang Menla. Discover how to unlearn the mental habit of worry and become calmer, clearer, and happier.
ABOUT THE TALK
Discover how to unlearn the bad mental habit of worrying and become calmer and happier. Problems, worry, anxiety, and unhappiness are no more than negative thinking; they are feelings and do not exist outside the mind. Through practicing meditation and mindfulness, we learn to control our thoughts and let go of negative, self-defeating states of mind.
This free talk will be held in the Tandy Auditorium of the Fort Worth Central Library. It accommodates 120 people and based on previous free talks we suggest you reserve your spot early!
Gen Kelsang Menla has studied under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for over 20 years and was requested by him to become the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center Texas in June 2017. Gen Menla was ordained as a Kadampa Buddhist monk in 2001 and has worked and taught within the New Kadampa Tradition for many years. He brings a warm heart and joyful attitude to sharing Buddha’s teachings and the practice of meditation.
Registration will close on Friday, Sept. 21 at 12pm
