Join us for this Post Summer Festival Retreat. Lamrim, or the stages of the path, is a special set of spiritual teachings that includes all he essential teachings of Buddha and is an accessible and practical guide for successful meditation. During this retreat, Gen Kelsang Menla will be giving commentary from this years summer festival. Beginners welcome.
Perfect for beginners, the first day of this retreat Gen Menla will focus on meditations, called Lamrim. Lamrim focuses on using Buddha’s instructions in a practical way to solve daily problems. In this step by step meditation approach, you will learn how to effectively change your daily life experience from unhappiness to happiness.
On Sunday, based on the teachings at the International Summer Festival, Gen Menla will focus on the essential practices of Vajrayogini and Heruka Tantra. On this special retreat day, he will give commentary to this daily practice for Highest Yoga Tantra Practitioners. You must have received Highest Yoga Tantra Empowerment to attend the second day.

Gen Kelsang Menla has studied under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for over 20 years and was requested by him to become the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center Texas in June 2017. Gen Menla was ordained as a Kadampa Buddhist monk in 2001 and has worked and taught within the New Kadampa Tradition for many years. He brings a warm heart and joyful attitude to sharing Buddha’s teachings and the practice of meditation.
