Weekday Classes at the Dallas Temple


Come and enjoy drop-in meditation classes at our newly renovated 8500 square foot downtown Dallas Temple! The Temple offers an ideal setting to learn about and improve your meditation practice in an inspiring and peaceful environment.

Drop-in classes are offered several times per week and oriented towards those that are new to meditation and Buddhism. Some classes have fees and some are by donation, however no one is ever turned away for lack of funds.

Work on your resolutions to better care for yourself and improve the quality of your state of mind- Take our  6-week meditation challenge! This series of  classes is perfect for beginners and those with some experience already. This 6-week series will  provide:

  • An introduction to meditation
  • Teach and guide practical meditations based on the Living Meditation guided meditation audio series.
  • Support for starting a regular meditation practice
  • Advice for how to bring mindfulness practice into your daily life.

Each class includes two guided meditations, a talk about meditation, and time for Q&A. Although part of a 6-week series, each class is stand alone. You can drop in at any time. More information about the series of class can be found below.

For the Monday evening class, we do not validate parking. Plenty of meter parking is available. Use the Parkmobile app!



Fatin Kratochvil has been studying and practicing Kadampa Buddhism for nearly 15 years and is on our Teacher Training Program. She enjoys sharing her love for Buddha's teachings and meditation and finding practical ways to implement the practice into all aspects of her life. During the day Fatin works as a Financial Analyst at a global firm in Dallas. She is married and both she and her partner enjoy volunteering at the center and helping to teach the Buddhism for Kids class.


Wednesday Evening Class

7.00- 8.30pm

For the Wednesday evening class, we validate parking only in the Star Parking lot directly across from us on the corner of Lamar/Laws & Corbin,
directly across from the Temple. Do not pay in lot. Just tell us your space number and we do the rest!



Wednesday evening is our main weekday drop-in class with our Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang  Menla.  These classes are perfect for beginners! They provide an introduction to meditation and support for starting to practice meditation, mindfulness, and applying Buddhist teachings in daily life.
