"Dharma" is the teaching of Buddha and means "protection," specifically protection for the mind. Through taking Dharma to heart we can protect ourself from all suffering and problems. Therefore everyone needs to receive the empowerment of Buddha Shakyamuni, because the source of Dharma is Buddha Shakyamuni.
Although first taught in ancient India almost 2600 years ago, Buddha Shakyamuni's teachings are universal and continue to resonate with people throughout the world. Buddha's fundamental teaching is that everything depends upon the mind. If we integrate his teachings into our daily life we will be able to solve all our inner problems and attain a truly peaceful mind. With this peaceful positive mind, we will be able to help others more effectively and gradually create peace in our world.
Without inner peace, outer peace is impossible. However, if we establish peace within our minds, outer peace will come naturally.
Join us for this very special event where Gen Kelsang Menla will grant the empowerment of Buddha Shakyamuni. He will also explain how we can make a connection with Buddha through special meditations contained within the Prayers for Meditation booklet.
