As the saying goes, “A picture is worth a thousand words.” Buddhism often uses special images and visualizations as contemplations and meditations. Understanding the meaning of such images and meditating on them can lead to a deep spiritual experience. This gives us greater peace of mind and an ability to solve our own problems.
Guest Teacher, American Buddhist nun Gen Kelsang Demo, will give a special talk on the Wheel of Life image. Created by Buddha centuries ago, it communicates vast and profound meanings about life and the spiritual path. Everyone is welcome to attend this illuminating talk!
Gen Kelsang Demo is the Midwestern US National Spiritual Director and the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Washington DC. She has been a student and disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for over 20 years and has been teaching for 18 years.
Gen Demo is deeply respected as a teacher and practitioner. She demonstrates a wealth of practical knowledge and provides clear and inspiring teachings for people of all levels of interest.
