GEN KELSANG MENLA
Gen Kelsang Menla has studied under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for over 20 years and was requested by him to become the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center Texas in June 2017. Gen Menla was ordained as a Kadampa Buddhist monk in 2001 and has worked and taught within the New Kadampa Tradition for many years. He brings a warm heart and joyful attitude to sharing Buddha’s teachings and the practice of meditation.
RENEE ADIBI
Renee Adibi has studied on Foundation and Teacher Training Program for 20 years and has developed a practical meditation practice, balanced with a busy family and work life. She is an active volunteer at KMC Texas.
JEFF AYALA
Jeff Ayala has been practicing and studying Kadampa Buddhism for several years and can be seen regularly volunteering at KMC TX. Jeff loves his meditation practice and as a natural storyteller, he brings a relatable, clear and humorous presentation to his teachings. He is married with two daughters and is currently a marketing producer and creative director for a local television station.
TIMOTHEE BESSET
Timothee has been learning and practicing Dharma since 2011. Originally from France, Tim has been living in DFW for 12 years and is a software developer.
KAITLYN BRAYTON
Kaitlyn has been studying and practicing Kadampa Buddhism for 16 years and during this time she has taught many classes on how to practice meditation and Buddhism in daily life. She brings a kind heart and gently approach to her teachings so that meditation and Buddhism is accessible to everyone. Kaitlyn originally comes from Connecticut and moved to Texas 2 years ago.

SUMMER GREST
Summer has been studying and practicing Kadampa Buddhism since 2011 and is currently serving as the Administrative Director (AD) here at the Kadampa Meditation Center Texas. When she is able to teach, she loves to share Buddha's teachings with others through humor and practical examples.
JOSH HAUBERG
Josh has been studying Kadampa Buddhism for several years and is on the Teacher Training Program at KMC TX. He is the Family and Childrens Class Coordinator and teaches regularly at the temple. He brings a warm and humorous presentation to his teaching. Josh is recently married and teaches elementary school in North Dallas.
ZULEYKA HAUBERG
Zuleyka Hauberg lleva practicando budismo Kadampa durante varios años. Está en el programa de formación de profesores de KMC Texas y es voluntaria habitual. ZULEYKA HAUBERG
Zuleyka Hauberg has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism for several years. She is on the KMC Texas Teacher Training Program and is a regular volunteer. She is married and works as an administrative assistant for a therapy company located in the Dallas Medical District. Zuly brings simplicity, warmth, and depth to her teaching. She wants all living things to be happy and free from suffering and is delighted to offer meditation classes for the Spanish speaking community.
EARL JOHNSON
Earl Johnson is a native of Fort Worth, has been married for 40 years and is the father of two wonderful adult sons. Professionally he works in the the mental health field. Earl has studied Buddhism since age 12. He joined KMC Texas in 2010 and is on the KMC Texas Teacher Training Program. Earl is a natural story-teller bringing genuine warmth and compassion to his teaching.
FATIN KRATOCHVIL
Fatin has been studying and practicing Kadampa Buddhism for 13 years and is currently on our Teacher Training Program. She enjoys sharing her love for Buddha's teachings and meditation and finding practical ways to implement them into all aspects of her life. During the day Fatin works as a Financial Analyst at a global firm in Dallas. She is married and both she and her partner enjoy volunteering at the center and helping to teach the kids class.
LUKAS KRATOCHVIL
Lukas has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism for over 10 years and regularly assist classes at our temple. He is a devoted husband and father and works as a systems analyst in Irving.
SHANNON LAMBERSON
Studying Kadampa Buddhist meditation since 2006. Shannon is on the Teacher Training Program and each year goes on silent retreats to quiet her mind and deepen her practice.
In her teachings, you will find Shannon's excitement and confidence in the power of meditation. She believes KMC Texas is the perfect place to start your journey to inner peace no matter where you are starting from.
Shannon manages a marketing team at a local university. Shannon and husband both enjoy volunteering at the center.
JACQUELINE MCKETHAN
Jacqueline began practicing meditation and Buddhism in 2005 at Kadampa Meditation Center North Carolina, and continued her practice at Kadampa Meditation Center Texas when she moved to Dallas in 2008. Over the years she has studied on several Kadampa study programs and taught a variety of classes and day courses, including Foundation Program. She is married and works professionally in the Information Security field at a local university, having previously been a professional musician.
JOHN MCKETHAN
John has been studying and practicing Kadampa Buddhism since 2005 and had the good fortune to attend many International Kadampa Festivals taught directly by Venerable Geshe-la. He brings a warmth and sincerity to his teachings and believes that Buddha's teachings can help everyone, Buddhist or not. Before retiring, John was an executive with a technology company and has lived in the DFW area for over fifty years.
ERICA RICHARDSON
Erica Richardson is a native Texan and the Educational Program Coordinator at the Kadampa Meditation Center in Dallas. She previously served as resident teacher at Bodhichitta KBC and Kalpa Bhadra Kadampa Meditation Center in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She is known for her enthusiasm, a strong daily Dharma practice, and a very kind heart. Her teachings are heartfelt and practical, applying Buddha’s teachings to the issues of day-to-day work and family life. We are very fortunate to have her helping to deliver dharma here in the DFW community.
OSCAR ROSAS
Oscar has been studying Kadampa Buddhism for around 4 years, he is a Computer Engineer and he works for an important Cloud company in north Dallas, he teaches regularly at the temple specially for the "Meditación en Español Class".
He is a regular volunteer for any technology related tasks at the temple.
He brings a practical, humorous and eloquent presentation to his teaching.
CAROL SALERNO
Carol is an experienced meditator and Teacher, having studied and practiced Kadampa Buddhism for over 15 years. As a wife, mother, business professional and active volunteer at KMC Texas she has a wealth of practical experience of applying Buddha’s teachings in everyday life. She also has done several long meditations retreats and studies on the Teacher Training program. She brings joy, humor and genuine insight to her teaching.
KELSANG SHERMA
Kelsang Sherma took ordination as a Kadampa Buddhist nun in 2013 and has completed the Intensive Teacher Training Program (ITTP) at Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Center in the UK in July 2023. She has a background as a pediatrician for many years and has been a practicing Buddhist for over 20 years. She is a wonderful teacher who will warm your heart with her genuine caring nature.
JENNY STREIT-HORN
Jenny has been studying and practicing Buddhism for over 20 years. She has been a Kadampa Buddhist practitioner for 10 years and finds Geshe Kelsang Gyatso's books and teachings to be remarkably clear and practical. She is studying on Teacher Training Program at KMC Texas and teaches at the KMC TX - Denton Branch. Jenny is known for her heartfelt teachings and for offering practical examples that help people integrate Buddhist teachings into their daily lives. Jenny is married and works professionally as psychotherapist in private practice.
KELSANG TENPA
Kelsang Tenpa has been a Buddhist for many years and has been studying and practicing Kadampa Buddhism since 2007. He was ordained as a Kadampa Buddhist monk in 2014 and has helped many Kadampa centers around the USA through his volunteer efforts. He is currently the Treasurer of KMC Texas after kindly serving as our Administrative Director from 2019-2020. Tenpa is an avid Dharma student and well loved for his kind heart and jovial manner.
VALERIE WEATHERSBY
Valarie has been studying and practicing Kadampa Buddhism since 2006. She is on the Teacher Training Program at KMC TX and seeks to bring a warm and accessible approach to dharma teachings. Valarie is a licensed social worker and works in administration in a community behavioral health services agency in Tarrant County.
JENNIFER WEISENSEL
Jennifer began her Buddhist path in 2004 and started studying as a Kadampa in 2020. She is a loyal and dedicated volunteer at KMC Texas and is known for her warmth and creativity. She has been on the Foundation Program since early 2021, and is very passionate about caring for the Sangha community and supporting anyone on their spiritual journey. Being an Instructional Designer in her professional life, she enjoys sharing her artistic and imaginative approach into events around the temple.
Kadam Lucy James
One of the senior teachers of Kadampa Buddhism, Kadam Lucy has taught extensively in England, Florida, and San Francisco, and helped set up many thriving meditation centers in the past 37 years. She is regularly invited to teach courses around the United States and Europe due to her ability in presenting both simple and profound subjects with great clarity.
For many years, her main job was to help with the editing and production of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s books; and she has also engaged in several years of meditation retreat.
Kadam Lucy is appreciated for her deep wisdom, clear mind, and inspiring yet practical presentation of Buddha’s teachings and meditations. She is very skilled at explaining how to make these teachings immediately effective in our busy modern lives, to help both ourselves and everyone around us.
Gen Kelsang Norden
Gen Kelsang Norden, a senior ordained teacher, was requested by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche to teach modern Buddhism at the Kadampa Meditation Centers in Austin and in Houston. Ordained as a Buddhist nun in 1994, she has been teaching Buddhism and meditation in the US and the UK for over 25 years. We are very fortunate to have the opportunity to enjoy the precious Dharma of Modern Buddhism with such an experienced practitioner.

Gen Kelsang Wangpo is a western Buddhist monk that has been studying and practicing Kadampa Buddhism under Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s guidance for many years. His heartfelt teachings are presented with clarity and humor that make them accessible to everyone. Gen Wangpo provides an inspiring example of a modern Buddhist practitioner we can follow.
Gen Kelsang Gomlam
Gen Kelsang Gomlam is the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Madison and Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s representative in Madison. She has been studying, practicing and teaching Kadam Dharma for many years. Gen Gomlam’s heartfelt and practical teachings are presented with warmth and humor, making them accessible to everyone. Through her loving kindness, sincere concern for others, and deep understanding of Buddha’s teachings, Gen Gomlam provides an inspiring example of someone who has taken Buddha’s teachings to heart.
Kadam Kyle Davis
Kadam Kyle is the Resident Teacher of KMC Boston and has been teaching Buddhism and meditation for seven years, beginning at the Kadampa World Peace Temple in New York and then moving to New England five years ago to teach. He has studied and practiced extensively on long-term, in-depth training programs at Kadampa Buddhist temples in New York and in England. Kyle is well known for his good heart and clear, practical teachings.
GEN KELSANG DEMO
Gen Kelsang Demo is the Midwestern US National Spiritual Director and the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Washington DC. She has been a student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for over 23 years and has been teaching Kadampa Buddhism since 1998.
Gen Demo is deeply respected as a teacher and practitioner. She demonstrates a wealth of practical knowledge and provides clear and inspiring teachings for people of all levels of interest.
LAURA MORRISON
Laura is the Principal Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center Austin and has been studying and practicing Kadampa Buddhism under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for many years. Originally from Argentina, Laura brings a heartfelt and sincere explanation on the practice of meditation and modern Buddhism to her teachings.
GEN KELSANG RIGPA
Gen Kelsang Rigpa is an American Buddhist monk, the Western US National Spiritual Director and the Resident Teacher at KMC-Hollywood. He is a close disciple of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, having received lineage blessings and oral transmissions directly from him.
Gen Rigpa’s heartfelt and practical teachings are presented with warmth and humor, making them accessible to everyone. He shows the joy of living a spiritual life, and is an inspiring example of Buddhism in practice. Through his clear presentation, he is able to help students discover for themselves how to integrate these timeless teachings into our modern world, making everyday life joyful and meaningful.
GEN-LA KELSANG DEKYONG
Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong, General Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU, has been a disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for nearly 40 years and holds the lineages of his blessings in her heart.
She is an inspiring example of a modern Kadampa disciple who relies sincerely upon her Spiritual Guide in all her actions. Gen-la is greatly respected for the power and sincerity of her teachings and the warmth of her personality.
Gen Kelsang Chokyan
Gen Kelsang Chokyan is the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center New Mexico. Gen Chokyan is an American Buddhist monk. He has been practicing meditation and modern Buddhism for 16 years and is a great example of how to practice Kadampa Buddhism in the modern world. His sincere teachings are presented with humor and warmth, showing us how to find peace and happiness in our everyday daily lives.
Gen Chokyan is originally from DFW. He met Kadampa Buddhism at KMC Texas and was the Education Program Coordinator here for several years. He was the Resident Teacher in Tampa for many years and is now at KMC New Mexico.
GEN KELSANG CHOKYI
As a student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Gen Kelsang Chokyi has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism for 16 years and is an ordained Buddhist nun.
She served as Resident Teacher for Serlingpa Meditation Center in New Bedford, MA, Kadampa Meditation Center San Diego and Atisha Kadampa Buddhist Center in Providence, RI. With joy, wisdom, and experience, she shows how everyone can easily integrate Buddha’s teachings into daily life.
Gen Kelsang Choma
Gen Kelsang Choma is a senior Teacher and Buddhist nun with the New Kadampa Tradition of Modern Buddhism. She has studied extensively on the Teacher Training Program for over 30 years and is qualified to teach both Sutra and Tantra. She is the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center San Francisco and is invited to teach nationally. People enjoy her teachings for their clarity and warmth.
Kadam Holly McGregor
Kadam Holly McGregor has been the resident teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Long Island for the past 12 years. She arrived in Huntington in 2008 from New York City where she studied with Kadam Morten Clausen and taught Foundation Program classes at Chakrasambara Meditation Center (now KMC-NYC). She has been studying and practicing Kadampa Buddhism for more than 20 years and is a close disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
Kadam Holly is a much admired teacher and is known for her clarity and skill in teaching meditation and Buddha’s practical wisdom, and for her loving and joyful manner. She is native of Montreal, Québec and has a background in holistic health with a special interest in meditation as a path of healing, both for patients and healthcare practitioners. She is a breast cancer survivor, and has experience supporting those who are sick and those who are dying through meditation and spiritual guidance.

KADAM MORTEN
Kadam Morten is a greatly admired meditation teacher, especially known for his clarity, humor and inspirational presentation of Dharma. His teachings are always practical and easy to apply to everyday life. Through his gentle and joyful approach and his peaceful example, he has helped many people find true happiness in their hearts.
Kadam Morten met his teacher, Geshe Kelsang, while attending university in England. He taught widely throughout the UK and helped develop many Kadampa Centers in England. Kadam Morten has been teaching in the US for more than 20 years and has established centers throughout the New York area, as well as Washington DC, Virginia, and Puerto Rico. In addition to his local teaching responsibilities, he teaches and guides retreats regularly throughout the United States and Europe.
GEN SAMTEN KELSANG
Gen Samten Kelsang is the Resident Teacher at KMC New York. He is dedicated to helping everyone find peace of mind through the experience of meditation and through developing the capacity of their minds.
As one of Venerable Geshe-la’s senior disciples, Gen Samten has had the unique opportunity to engage in a three-year retreat and carries with him a wealth of experience in skillfully guiding sincere practitioners to profound meditative insights on retreat.
In addition to overseeing the spiritual program and teaching at KMC New York, Gen Samten regularly teaches throughout the US and world. He is renowned for the clarity of his teachings and his ability to help students improve their meditation practice, taking them to deeper levels of experience.
Gen-la Kelsang Jampa
Gen-la Kelsang Jampa is the Deputy Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU and Resident Teacher at IKRC Grand Canyon.
He teaches regularly at national and international events and is deeply admired for his clarity and sincerity.
He demonstrates in all his activities how to be a faithful disciple of his Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, inspiring thousands to engage in sincere practice to solve their own and others' problems.
Gen-la Khyenrab
Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab is the New Kadampa Tradition (NKT) National Spiritual Director for Canada and the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Canada in Toronto.
A retired General Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU), he has trained closely with Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for forty years and holds the lineages of his blessings in his heart. He is a very inspiring example of a pure practitioner of modern Kadampa Buddhism who relies sincerely upon his Spiritual Guide in all his actions.
Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab is an internationally renowned teacher and English Buddhist monk who is greatly admired throughout the world for his powerful teachings, his wisdom, as well as his pure example of humility and loving-kindness. He is also well-known for his deep understanding of Buddha’s teachings and his ability to convey their profound meaning in a very clear and accessible way. We are extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to receive teachings directly from him.

Gen Kelsang Tabkay is a Kadampa Buddhist monk and the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Phoenix. He has been a student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche since 2007, having received empowerments and lineage blessings directly from him. Gen Tabkay presents Buddhism and meditation in an accessible and clear way, dedicating himself to bringing peace into the hearts of others. He was previously the Education Program Coordinator and Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center South Carolina.
NOREEN FLACK
Noreen Flack is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center Austin. She has studied and practiced Kadam Dharma under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for nearly 30 years. She spent much of her practice and training at Kadampa Meditation Center Washington in Seattle and has taught both beginner and advanced meditators alike how to take Buddha’s teachings to heart. She is well loved for her teachings that combine sincerity, humor and countless examples of how to apply Dharma to family and work life.
