Form, Space and Perception
Guided Meditation and Public Talk at Nasher Sculpture Center

Saturday, September 20th 11:30 am - 2 pm

In collaboration with the Nasher Sculpture Center, we are pleased to present a special guided meditation and public talk inspired by the work of internationally renowned artist Antony Gormley. Join us for a late-morning event led by Gen Kelsang Wangpo, Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Texas. Connect with new ideas related to our body, through the lens of our perception in the harmonious surroundings of the Nasher. Following the meditation, participants are invited to join us for an optional tour of SURVEY: Antony Gormley, an exhibition exploring the relationship between the interior space of the body and the exterior world surrounding it.

This program is open to people of all ages and backgrounds, regardless of religious affiliation, race, ethnicity, sexuality, gender identity, socio-economic status, or experience with meditation practice. Everyone welcome!

Form, Space and Perception

The body - our vehicle for experiencing life - is shaped as much by the mind as it by form. In this meditation, Gen Wangpo will guide us in exploring the relationship between body and perception, reflecting themes that pervade Antony Gormley’s work. Through the power of visualization and concentration, you’ll discover how the mind can reshape your experience of form and space, opening the door to a deeper sense of personal well-being, freedom, and ease.
