Welcome to our Denton Branch! We offer classes three days per week and once a month mini retreats or courses on Saturday. Our space is warm and cozy, we welcome to to visit us!

Some classes have fees and some are by donation, however no one is ever turned away for lack of funds.  Everyone is welcome!

WHAT TO EXPECT

These classes are perfect for beginners! They provide an introduction to meditation and support for starting to practice meditation, mindfulness, and applying Buddhist teachings in daily life.

Sunday and Wednesday classes  include two guided meditations, a talk on Buddhism for everyday living, and time for Q&A. Although part of a monthly series, each class is stand alone. You can drop in at any time. Information on the monthly series can be found below. 

Class is followed by refreshments for those who wish to stay for more conversation.

Bowl-a-Rama

We hope you can join us for our 1st ever bowling fundraiser. This family-friendly event is a great way to support the Denton branch and have fun doing it. This event will be a blast, even if you haven’t bowled in many years—or have never bowled at all! All proceeds will go to KMC Texas Denton-Branch. 

Register to bowl. You can either gather $40 or more in sponsorships or pay $40 on the day of the event. You can also choose to make a donation and not participate in bowling.

Denton TEACHER 

Jenny Streit-Horn is the principal teacher at our Denton Branch Center and has been studying and practicing Buddhism for over 20 years. She has been a Kadampa Buddhist practitioner for 10 years and finds Geshe Kelsang Gyatso's books and teachings to be remarkably clear and practical. Jenny brings a warm and caring heart to teaching meditation and Buddhism and is studying on Teacher Training Program at KMC Texas.
