Overcoming Stress

August Meditation Series in Fort Worth, Texas

Mondays from 7:00 pm - 8:15 pm
In-Person Only

Feel free to drop in at any point in the series. Everyone is welcome!

No class on August 4 or September 1

Stress is such a common, painful, and troublesome feeling. What's worse is that it doesn't even bring a resolution to any of the difficulties that are making us feel stressed. We are better served to look at our difficulties with a clear mind and to find meaningful solutions.

In this series of classes, we will learn how to recognize our stress as it begins to develop and to apply meaningful remedies within our mind. Everyone is welcome to these classes on inner calm.

What to expect:

  • Classes are approximately 1-1/4 hours long.
  • Classes include two guided meditations and a talk on Buddhism for everyday living.
  • Occasionally Q&A is offered at the end of the class.
  • Although part of a series, each class is self-contained so you can check out any single class or jump into the series midstream.

The Venue: Fort Worth Botanic Garden

Fort Worth Botanic Garden
3220 Botanic Garden Blvd

If you are stopped at the gate, just tell the guard you are there for meditation class.

Our classes are usually held in the Lecture Link area, which is a lobby outside the Lecture Hall. To get there, you can enter the main door at the Garden Center and turn right toward the Lecture Hall, or you can enter the Dorothea Leonhardt Lecture Hall door to the right of the main door to the Garden Center.
