What Is an Empowerment?

An empowerment is a Buddhist blessing ritual and guided meditation through which we make a deep connection with a Buddha’s enlightened mind, bringing peace, hope, and happiness to ourselves and others.

Why Receive the Empowerment of Buddha Manjushri?

Manjushri is the Wisdom Buddha and the source of the Ganden Oral Lineage, our precious tradition of prayer and practice. With Buddha Manjushri's blessings, our wisdom will naturally increase and the power of our spiritual practice can grow. During this special event we will also receive commentary on how to develop seven types of wisdom to dispel our ignorance. By overcoming ignorance we can experience happiness all the time. This is just a small fraction of Buddha Manjushri's great skill in liberating living beings.

Gen Wangpo is the Resident Teacher at KMC Texas.
