Compassion: The Unsurpassed Path of Healing, Harmony and Happiness

Away Retreat in Bruceville, Texas at Greene Family Camp

Get out of the city and into your heart. Enjoy a weekend retreat on compassion in the countryside.

During the retreat we will listen to, contemplate and meditate on Buddha's advice for viewing others through our own eyes of compassion -- contemplation and meditation that will help us to recognize how we are all the same. We all face hardships and difficulties, confusion and uncertainty. Tapping in to that understanding makes our compassion for other people more profound and robust, providing us with a suitable basis for a happy and harmonious life with others.

The weekend's teachings and meditations explore The Three Principal Aspects of the Path to Enlightenment and Essential Insights into the Avalokiteshvara Sadhana, from the text Mirror of Dharma with Additions by internationally renowned Buddhist author and teacher Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.
