Our life is changing day by day and minute by minute. Sometimes that change feels like it is beyond us. Yet other times we are definitely in the driver’s seat. We can learn how to set ourself up for successful growth and transformation and be in control of the changes in our life and how we respond to them. This special 3-class Friday Night Lecture Series will address the qualities you need.
Accepting Difficulties (October):
Often when things go wrong in life we blame the situation. However, if we can accept the events we are facing, we will find that the difficulty becomes an opportunity and we experience growth and improvements. Accepting difficulty is a special ability that we can develop. Buddha’s teachings reveal how we can grow our capacity for acceptance.
Silencing the Inner Critic (November):
Many people are hard on themselves in a way that is counter-productive and painful. We sometimes have a tendency to be excessively self-critical, self-doubting, and lacking confidence. These debilitating thoughts can affect our relationships, our work, and our ability to realize our full potential in life. In this workshop, we will learn how to use meditation to free ourselves from self-critical thoughts, negative self-perceptions, and feelings of discouragement.
