Fearless Compassion in Unstable Times

When we look at the world and see suffering that feels too large to bear, we may feel deeply discouraged, like we have nothing to offer to the situation. We may want to turn away. But there is something we can do.
To develop compassion for others, we see their suffering and wish for their freedom. Compassion is a natural response to suffering arising from a heartfelt connection to someone - whether the person is someone we deeply cherish, or simply someone we can relate to on a personal level.
Most of the problems in the world today would be solved if everyone cared about each other. So the best way we can respond is by improving our good qualities and helping others do the same. This is the essence of the Buddhist path, and in all of our weekday classes around the metroplex, we share the methods that Buddha shared. Everyone welcome.
What to expect:
- Classes are approximately 1-1/4 hours long.
- Classes include two guided meditations and a talk on Buddhism for everyday living.
- Occasionally Q&A is offered at the end of the class.
- Although part of a series, each class is self-contained so you can check out any single class or jump into the series midstream.
